Yes, rhinoplasty surgery is performed entirely under general anesthesia (full sedation) for the safety and comfort of both the patient and the surgery.
Your Trust and Comfort
You will feel nothing, experience no pain, and hear no sounds during your surgery. You will be in a deep sleep. Throughout this entire process, all your vitals will be continuously monitored by our specialist anesthesia doctor and well-equipped team.
Local anesthesia (numbing only the nose) is not used for bone and cartilage shaping procedures. This situation can be quite stressful and uncomfortable for the patient.
How Will You Wake Up?
As soon as the surgery finishes, you will be woken up and taken to the recovery room. After you regain consciousness, you will move to your regular room. For safety and monitoring purposes, you will be our guest comfortably at our hospital for 1 night (until the next day).
💡 Same Day Discharge: A patient who had early morning surgery; if feeling well, can eat without issues, and is not experiencing nausea or active bleeding, can be comfortably discharged to their home on the evening of the same day.
