Breastfeeding is not a barrier to rhinoplasty surgery. However, there is an important rule regarding anesthesia:

Breastfeeding is not an obstacle to surgery. The procedure can be performed safely.

No Breastfeeding for 24 Hours After Anesthesia
The medications used for general anesthesia can pass into breast milk and may cause side effects in your baby. For this reason, you should not breastfeed for the first 24 hours after surgery and should pump and discard your milk during this period.

After 24 Hours
After the 24-hour period, you may freely resume breastfeeding. The surgery itself does not negatively affect breastfeeding in the long term.

💡 In summary: It is recommended to prepare an adequate milk supply for your baby before the surgery. Milk pumped during the 24-hour post-operative window should be discarded, after which normal breastfeeding can resume.
