However, it should not be forgotten that your general health and surgical safety are paramount. Therefore, in some unforeseen medical situations that may arise before surgery, your surgery may be POSTPONED or CANCELLED.
โ ๏ธ Postponement / Cancellation Reasons:
A patient who cannot stop smoking should not undergo surgery, as it will badly affect the surgical healing result. If you hide this information from us, it means you have accepted the resulting harm from the beginning.
In the blood test, Hemoglobin (HB, Hgb), Platelet (Plt), aPTT, and INR tests must be within normal limits. A low hemoglobin value may disrupt tissue oxygenation, causing healing issues and poor results. Even if not in normal limits, hb>10 should be present, and the patient must receive the necessary treatment for anemia post-surgery.
In this case, primarily the treatment of these diseases and an evaluation in this regard will be necessary.
Patients who do not want to take the risk of their surgery being postponed/cancelled can have the following tests done at any hospital of their choice before surgery:
