Will the swelling and pain in my nose increase if I get a flu or cold months after the surgery?

Upper respiratory tract infections like the flu or cold affect both the inner (mucosa) and outer tissues of the nose. Therefore, it is perfectly normal for your seemingly healed nose to temporarily experience increased swelling, aching, and sensitivity.

However, this will not cause a permanent problem or deformity in your nose; the swelling will go down once the illness passes.
