After the surgery ends, you will wait for a sufficient time in the recovery/awakening room inside the operating theater, and you will be taken to your room once you feel well.
Your consciousness will be intact when you come to your room and the anesthesia effect will have passed. But it is normal to feel a little groggy.
Based on the surgery duration, your meal will arrive and you will eat once an appropriate time has passed post-surgery.
It is normal to feel some nausea on the first day. Although not common, you might vomit. In this case, additional medications will be administered for these complaints.
Once enough time has passed, you have started standing up and walking, and you feel well, you can take off the compression stockings worn on you to prevent clot formation.
Having a comfortable pajama set and slippers with you during your hospital stay will increase your comfort.
