In patients who have had nose surgery, minor bleeding or spotting can be seen even months later due to crusting in the mucosa, dry air, or secondary factors like blood pressure/stress.
It generally does not indicate a risky situation, but if it recurs frequently, your doctor should be informed and you should continue using moisturizing nasal sprays (sea water, etc.) to keep the inside from drying out.
