During the surgery, a strong structure is built with cartilage grafts so that the nasal tip can maintain its new shape for many years (without drooping).
Because of these supports and the scar tissue forming during the healing process, the nasal tip is quite hard in the first few months. As the months pass and the swelling decreases, it begins to soften, but it will never become as soft (able to bend completely from side to side) as an unoperated, unsupported nose. This is an indication that your nose is structurally sound.
